For a company outing, a guided kayak trip offers a simple shared goal: learn the basics, follow the river together, and return with a story from Black Canyon. The route starts at Willow Beach, Arizona and heads toward the Emerald Cave viewing area.

Choose a trip your group wants to take.

A company team activity works best when participants know what they are signing up for. The tour includes instruction and is beginner-friendly, but guests still paddle repeatedly and spend several hours outdoors. Check everyone’s comfort before collecting commitments.

For mixed experience levels, share the route and packing guide in advance. If anyone has a question about age, equipment fit, mobility, or participation requirements, contact the expedition desk before booking so suitability can be discussed directly.

Start with the return deadline.

For a conference outing or team retreat, send your fixed commitments with the inquiry: a meeting, dinner, show, or flight. The river experience takes about four to five hours, with transportation and check-in time in addition. Leave room for variable conditions and group pace.

Request Las Vegas pickup from Mandalay Bay’s Beach Level or ask about meeting at Willow Beach. Pickup windows and transportation capacity depend on the selected date and need confirmation for the whole group. Share the final meeting instructions with every participant.

Paddle into Black Canyon together.

After equipment fitting and the launch briefing, follow your guide upstream from Willow Beach. The approximately 4.4-mile round trip combines active paddling with views of the Colorado River and canyon walls on the way toward Emerald Cave.

The guide sets the pace and adjusts the route to the conditions. Cave access and the green reflection vary, so plan the outing around the full river experience. Water, a snack, and the listed paddling equipment are included; bring suitable clothing, footwear, and sun protection.
